CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-116
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF WINTER SAND
WHEREAS, on August 8, 1991, the city advertised a request for
proposals to provide winter sand; and
WHEREAS, METCO, Inc., submitted the low bid of $10.45 per
cubic yard of sand, delivered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase
order to METCO, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $12,540.00 to
provide up to 1,200 cubic yards of winter sand to be delivered to
designated sites within the city at a cost per cubic yard not to
exceed $10.45.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 23rd day of September, 1991.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
AMENDMENT NO.1, to the Agreement between the city of Seward
and Seward Aluminum Fabrication and Welding, dated October 11,
1990, follows:
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD with offices at Seward, Alaska,
hereinafter called "Seward," and Seward Aluminum Fabrication and
Welding, an Alaskan company with offices in Seward, Alaska,
hereinafter called "Contractor", entered into an AGREEMENT for the
reading of electrical and water meters within the City of Seward
electrical service area on October 11, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the continuation of the existing AGREEMENT is
desirous to both Seward and the Contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual exchange of the
promises of the parties, the parties agree to amend the AGREEMENT
as follows:
The only change in the AGREEMENT shall be to Paragraph 11.
Amend the sentence to read: "The Contract under this agreement
shall commence on October 11. 1990. and shall run until September
30. 1992."
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, all other terms and conditions of
the AGREEMENT dated October 11, 1990, remain in force and effect.
