CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS
TO MEET EXPENDITURES RELEVANT TO THE FAILURE OF THE
LOWELL POINT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT LAGOON
WHEREAS, on September 9, 1991, the City Council approved
Resolution No. 91-112, appropriating the sum of $50,000 to the
Lowell Point Sewer Repair Fund in order to meet expenditures
relevant to the failure of the sewer lagoon; and
WHEREAS, actual plus encumbered expenditures have already
exceeded this earlier appropriation, and it is estimated that the
cost of completing the repair of the lagoon liner may reach in
excess of $200,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand, ($150,000)
is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund Balance Account
No. 101-3070-0225 to the Lowell Point Sewer Repair Fund Account No.
225-3070 for the purpose of meeting expenditures relative to the
failure of the Lowell Point Sewage Treatment Lagoon.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 23rd day of September, 1991.
