CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-137
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO METCO,
INC., FOR REMOVAL OF STRUCTURES AND RELATED WORK
AT LOTS 6-9, FOLZ SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the city of Seward purchased Lots 6-9, Folz Subdivi-
sion, for use as a substation and pole yard site; and
WHEREAS, the city formally advertised for bids to remove and
dispose of all structures, topsoil, barkdust, septic tank, drain
field and animal waste and to fill the area with pit-run gravel and
3/4" minus rock; and
WHEREAS, three bids were received, with METCO, Inc., submit-
ting the low bid of $70,879.63 to perform all of the referenced
work; and
WHEREAS, funding is available within the Transportation Line
Project Budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with METCO, Inc., to clear and fill Lots 6-9, Folz
Subdivision, in accordance with the bid documents for a total
contract price not to exceed $70,879.63.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 28th day of October, 1991.
