The city of Seward concurs that the state agencies and the city should proceed with the project to construct a dock complex suitable for a Ferry Dock, a moorage for the IMS vessel and other state owned vessels, and moorage of large ocean going vessels without waiting for an approval and funding from the Corps of Engineers' harbor project. Section 2. The city strongly encourages the Governor of the state of Alaska to include funds for design of the University of Alaska IMS dock within the state of Alaska Fiscal Year 1993 budget. Section 3. The city supports the on-going work of the State Department of Transportation to design and construct a Ferry Dock in conjunction with the other state and city dock requirements. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. -1- .
