CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING TASK ORDER NO. 4
TO THE DRYDEN & LARUE CONTRACT TO DESIGN THE
LAWING TO FT. RAYMOND TRANSMISSION LINE
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved Resolution No.
90-112, awarding a contract to Dryden & Larue, Inc., to design a
115 KV transmission line from Lawing to Seward; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of this service was previously
estimated to be $478,585, or six percent of the total cost of
construction and materials necessary to complete the transmission
line; and
WHEREAS, Dryden & Larue, Inc., has substantially completed
Task Order No.1, which was approved by the Council on September
24, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Task Order No 2, approved on May 13, 1991, for
additional Phase I work through final design, construction
documents, surveying and staking is still in progress; and
WHEREAS, Task Order No.3, approved June 24, 1991, to research
and identify potential avalanche locations which would impact the
proposed transmission structures and/or conductor positioning is
still in progress; and
WHEREAS, Task Order No. 4 would provide for a field survey to
supplement aerial photography to obtain profile information for the
Mile 8 to Mile 18 portion of the transmission line for a not to
exceed cost of $24,160;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue to
Dryden & Larue, Inc., a Notice to Proceed with Task Order No.4,
for an amount not to exceed $24,160.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 5th day of November, 1991.
