CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF SOFTWARE TO CODIFY CITY ORDINANCES
WHEREAS, the city attorney's
codification services to the city at a
per year; and
office currently performs
cost of approximately $6,000
WHEREAS, software is available which would make it possible
for the Clerk's Office to perform this function in a more cost-
effective manner; and
WHEREAS, the purchase price of CodeMaster software from Book
Publishing Company includes on-site training for the Clerk's Office
as well as assistance in transferring the current Code into the new
program; and
WHEREAS, the reduction in legal fees which will result from
the purchase and use of this software program by the Clerk's Office
will offset the cost of purchasing the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $3,995.00 is hereby appropriated from
the General Fund- Fund Balance Account to the Mayor and Council
Equipment Account No. 101-1110-5930 for the purchase of computer
software to provide for the codification of city ordinances.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of December, 1991.
