CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING A LAND AND WATER
CONSERVATION FUND GRANT FOR TWO LAKES PARK
AND APPROPRIATING MATCHING FUNDS
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1992, the City Council approved Resolution No. 92-012,
authorizing an application for funding assistance for an outdoor recreation project to the state liaison
officer as provided by the Land and Water Conservation Fund; and
WHEREAS, on August 12, 1994, the City received official notification that the grant had
been awarded as requested; and
WHEREAS, it was the City's intent to provide the City's matching share from excess
campground revenues, but other priority projects were funded instead; and
WHEREAS, absent City Council approval of the allocation of $27,552 from the General
Fund Fund Balance to the Special Project Fund Account prior to September 30, 1996, this grant will
expIre;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A Land and Water Conservation Grant in the amount of $27,552 is hereby
accepted.
Section 2. The sum of $27,552 is hereby appropriated from the State Grant Revenues
Account No. XXX-XXXX-4680-0200; the local match in the amount of $27,552 is appropriated
from the General Fund Fund Balance Account No. 101-OOOO-3070-XXXX; and the total sum of
$55,104 is appropriated to the Two Lakes Project Fund Account Number XXX.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd
day of September, 1996.
