RESOLUTION NO. 96-129
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT TO
DEMOLISH THE PHYSICAL THERAPY BUILDING
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid for complete removal ofthe Physical Therapy building and
cleanup of the site was properly advertised; and
WHEREAS, the City received two bids for this project; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder, METCO, Inc., has been determined to be a responsible bidder
and the bid has been determined to be responsive to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, funds for the demolition and removal of the building are available in the
hospital construction budget approved by the City Council on September 9,1996;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with METCO, Inc., in an
amount not to exceed $14,999 to remove the physical therapy building and clean up the site as
provided in the bid documents.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 4th day
of October, 1996.
