CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH SEWARD TOWING TO
PROVIDE TOWING AND IMPOUND SERVICES TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, Resolution 97-013, approving a contract with Seward Towing to provide
towing and impound services to the City was passed on January 13, 1997; and
WHEREAS, on January 16, 1997 the City of Seward entered into a contract for Towing
Services with Seward Towing; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is pleased with the services provided by Seward
Towing and Seward Towing is satisfied with their relationship with the City; and
WHEREAS, both parties wish to extend the terms of the contract at least one more year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an extension of the existing
towing contract between the City of Seward and Seward Towing for an additional year, ending
on January 16, 1999.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
26th day of January, 1998.
