CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, SETTING FEES AND CHARGES FOR THE DISCHARGE,
LOADING, TRANSPORTATION, HANDLING AND SHORT TERM USE OF
EXPLOSIVES
WHEREAS, Seward City Code S 9.15, Fire Prevention, was amended with Ordinance No.
98-03; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 98-03 provides for the setting of fees for all explosive permits
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, to ensure that the fees are equitable to the Users and the City, the Administra-
tion recommends that the fees for an explosives permit for the 72 hour permit be set at $125.00, and
for the permanent storage/long term use permit be set at $250.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The fees for a 72 Hour Explosives Permit shall be set at $125.00 and the fee for
the Permanent Storage/Long Term Use Explosives Permit shall be set at $250.00
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd
day of March, 1998.
