CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 94-007
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO THE
SEWARD VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORPS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND
OPERATION OF AN EMERGENCY SERVICES FACILITY AT 200 D STREET
WHEREAS, the Seward Volunteer Ambulance Cotps has requested a Conditional Use
Permit for the construction and operation of an emergency services building to accommodate its
ambulance vehicles in the Rl zone at 200 D Street; and
WHEREAS, an application meeting the requirements set forth in ~ 15. 10. 320(B) of the
Seward City Code was submitted and received on April 13, 1994; and
WHEREAS, a duly advertised public hearing was held by the Seward Planning and
Zoning Commission on May 4, 1994;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The proposed use is found to satisfy the conditions specified in Seward City
Code ~ 15.1O.320(D).
Section 2. The city clerk is authorized to issue a Conditional Use Permit to the Seward
Volunteer Ambulance Cotps for construction and operation of an emergency services ambulance
operations facility at 200 D Street on tax parcels 147-15-04 and 147-170-01, subject to the
following conditions:
1. Landscape the property in accordance with an approved plan within one
year after construction of the building;
2. Provide a minimum six-foot high, solid fence along the north property line
to separate the project from the adjacent residence;
3. Pave the driveway apron and volunteer parking area;
4. Vacate the interior lot lines of the four platted lots to create a single
platted lot and tax parcel;
5. Submit the fmal design and artist drawing to the Planning and ZOning
Commission prior to construction.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
