RESOLUTION NO. 98-060
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
ACCEPTING A MATCHING GRANT FROM THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH FOR
ALASKANS FOR LITTER PREVENTION AND RECYCLING AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS
WHEREAS, Seward Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a $3,500 grant
from the Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALP AR) project; and
WHEREAS, this grant will fund a youth employee, litter patrol in Seward, and reimburse
personnel expenses from the project; and
WHEREAS, Council action is required to accept and appropriate these grant funds and to
set the litter patrol budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The grant funds totaling $3,500 are hereby accepted and appropriated to the
ALPAR Special Project Revenue Account No. 215-2151-4680-0900.
Section 2. Funds totaling $3,500 are hereby appropriated to the ALP AR Expenditures,
Budget Account No. 215-2151-XXXX with a project budget as follows:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
