CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMEND-
MENT NO.3 TO THE CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING
SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF SEWARD AND MICHAEL W.
MEEKS, D.B.A. MWM CONSULTING
WHEREAS, on February 15, 1995, the City entered into a professional services contract
with Michael W. Meeks, d.b.a. MWM Consulting, (the Contractor) to provide computer consulting
services; and
WHEREAS, the contract was for one year, with four one year extensions, upon approval by
the City and the Contractor; and
WHEREAS, the current contract has a compensation rate as follows:
$600.00 per month minimum charge (10 hours or less);
$60.00 per hour (10 to 36 hours);
$30.00 per hour (over 36 hours per month); and
WHEREAS, approval is requested for a third extension of the current contract with revisions
through June 30, 1999 as follows:
$3,333.33 per month, not to exceed $40,000.00 per year;
Perform the scope of services at no less than an average of 30 hours per week;
More than an average of 40 hours per week will be compensated at $20.00 per hour
only upon receiving written approval in advance from the Finance Director or his
designee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute contract Amendment No.3
with MWM Consulting.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 22nd
day ofJune, 1998.
