ORDINANCE NO. 438
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO MEETINGS AND AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION,
REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 2-68 OF THE SEWARD CITY CODE
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 2-68 of the Seward City Code is hereby repealed
and re-enacted to read as follows:
Section 2-68. Meetings and Quorum.
The Planning Commission shall meet at 7:30 p.m. in the
Seward City Council Chambers on the second Wednesday of each
month. Special meetings may be held at the call of the chairman
and at such other times as the Commission may determine. Five
members of the Commission shall be a quorum for the transaction
of business, except that, in the absence of a quorum, any number
less than a quorum may adjourn the meeting to a later date. The
affirmative votes of at least a majority of those commissioners
present shall be required for official action, unless a larger
majority is required by law. All meetings and records of the
Commission shall be open to the public. The Commission shall keep
minutes of the proceedings, showing the vote of each member upon
each question, and shall keep records of any other of its official
actions, all of which shall be immediately filed in the office of
the City Clerk-Treasurer and shall be a public record.
Section 2. This ordinance takes effect immediately upon enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
27th day of June , 1977.
