Sec. 2-9. Organization of council; election of borough
assemblyman and vice-mayor.
The city council shall meet and organize on the first
Monday following each regular city election.
The council shall elect one of its members as borough
assemblyman on the first Monday following each regular
city election.
Within thirty days of its first regular meeting, council
shall elect one of its members to act as vice-mayor in the
absence of the mayor.
Within thirty days of its first regular meeting, the
mayor shall make all appointments as required of him.
Section 2. This ordinance takes effect ten days after enactment.

AN ORDINANCE REGARDING COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS,
AMENDING SEWARD CITY CODE SECTION 2-9.
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 2-9. of the Seward City Code of Ordinance is
hereby amended to read as follows:
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
22nd day of May, 1978.
