THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS: Section 1. Section 2-29. of the Seward City Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:. Sec. 2-29. Council representation on borough assembly generally. (a) The representative of the city on the borough assembly shall be elected from among the members of the council by a majority vote of the council. The term of the person elected shall be for one year, or until the council organization meeting following the next succeeding general municipal election, which- ever shall first occur, at which time the council shall again elect by a majority vote of the council a member to serve on the borough assembly for a one year term. (b) In the event of a vacancy of the office of the city representative on the borough assembly, the council shall elect from its membership within fifteen days a successor who shall serve the remainder of the one year term.
