Enactment: September 10, 1979
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION
OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION,
REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 2-66 OF THE SEWARD CITY CODE
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 2-66 of the Seward City Code is hereby repealed
and re-enacted to read as follows:
Section 2-66. Created; composition; appointment; chairman;
ex officio members.
There is hereby created a city planning commission
consisting of seven citizens, all of whom shall reside in the
city, and who shall be nominated by the mayor and confirmed
by the council. No officer or employee of the city may be an
appointed member of the commission.
A chairman of the commission shall be selected
annually and shall be appointed from and by the appointive
members.
The mayor, city manager, city engineer and city
building inspector shall be ex officio members of the com-
mission and shall have the privilege of the floor but not
the right to vote.
Section 2. This ordinance takes effect 10 days after enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
10th day of September , 1979.
