CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 4.lliL-
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO
GARBAGE AND REFUSE DISPOSAL FEES
WHEREAS, the present procedure for amending garbage and refuse disposal
rates requires passage of an ordinance amending Section 12-19 of the Seward City
Code; and
WHEREAS, that procedure is unduly cumbersome and inconsistent with
the method of amending rates for other City services:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 12-19 is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows:
Sec. 12-19. Monthly Charges. For the collection, removal and
disposal of garbage, rubbish and for waste material from residence,
dwelling, commercial and industrial establishments within the City,
the charges shall be fixed from time to time by Council resolution.
Section 2. This ordinance takes effect January 1, 1980.
