ORDINANCE NO. 516
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE SEWARD CITY CODE RELATIVE TO TRAFFIC
CONTROL WITHIN THE CITY OF SEVJA,RD
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA ORDAINS that:
Section 1. Section 14-31 of the Seward City Code is hereby
amended by adding Section (b) to read as follows:
Section 14-31. Speed regulations
(b) No person may accelerate a vehicle on a str,"et
or highway within the City of Se,,rard S(1 :car;idly as
to cause the tires to squeal unnecessarily or to spin
on the street or in a manner which causes the vehicle
to "fishtail" or causes the driver to lose control of
the vehicle. This provision shall not apply when ad-
verse road conditions such as ice prevent normal ve-
hicle operation.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect 10 days following
enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
27 day of June , 1983.
