CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 518
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
AMENDING SECTION 22.10.030 OF THE SEWARD CITY
CODE.
THE CITY OF SEWARD ORDAINS:
Section 1. That Section 22.10.030 of Chapter 22 of the
Seward City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 22.10.030. Deposits. The person applying for utility
services shall deposit an amount equal to two months fixed
charges or such other amount as may be established by
resolution. No further deposit shall be required from existing
customers unless a customer's account becomes delinquent or
another account is established.
The deposit, plus interest as required by
shall be refunded after five years if the City has
that customer's service for reasons of delinquency
if the customer has not been delinquent in payment
in any twelve consecutive months.

The deposit does not relieve a customer from the obligation
of paying bills promptly when due.
The deposit, less any monies due the City, will be refunded
within thirty days after the customer signs a disconnect order to
discontinue utility service.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective /{J days
following enactment.
