ORDINANCE NO. 565
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SECTION 8-9 (a) OF THE CITY CODE
REIATIVE 'ID VarER QUALIFICATION
THE CITY COONCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, HEREBY ORDAINS
Section 1. Section 8-9 (a) of the Seward City Code is hereby
emended to read as follows:
Sec. 8-9. Qualification of voters. (a) In accor-
dance with AS 15.05.010 and AS 29.26.050, a person
is qualified to vote in city elections who:
(1) Is a citizen of the United States;
(2) Is eighteen years of age or older;
(3)
the city
election;
Has been a resident of the state and of
for at least thirty days just before the
(4) Has registered before the election as
required under AS 15.07 and is not registered to
vote in another jurisdiction; and
(5) Is not disqualified from voting under
Article V of the state constitution.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days
following its enactrrent.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
this 9th day of June , 19 86 .
