ORDINANCE NO. 578
AN ORDINANCE OF '!HE CITY COUNCIL OF '!HE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SEX:TlOO 6-11. 6 (h) OF '!HE CITY COOE
RELATIVE TO POLITICAL SIGNS
NCM, THEREFORE, '!HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. Section 6-11.6 (h) of the City Code is hereby
repealed and re-enacted to read as folla.vs:
(h) Poli tical signs up to 6 square feet per
sign in residential districts and up to 32 square
feet per sign in corrmercial districts rray be dis-
played, except on public property or rights-of-way.
Such signs rray be displayed no earlier than ninety
(90) days prior to any primary, regular or general
election and shall be rerroved wi thin two weeks
folla.ving the relevant election; provided that signs
erected for any primary election that rerrain rele-
vant to the folla.ving general election may be
maintained for the period between elections. If,
after reasonable notice, such signs are not rerroved,
the City may rerrove them, and the candidate, organi-
zation, or person who caused the sign to be erected
may be charged for said rerroval.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect ten (10) days
folla.ving its enactment.
