CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 598
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, ADOPTING APPENDICES II-C, III-A,
III-C, V-A AND VI-B OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE
WHEREAS, due to an oversight when the 1985 Uniform Fire
Code was adopted, the adoption of certain appendices to the
Code were not considered; and
WHEREAS, these appendices contain certain marina
operating requirements (Appendix II-C), concerning the
testing of fire protection systems (Appendix III-A), fire
alarm system requirements (Appendix III-C), nationally
recognized standards of good practice (Appendix V-A), and a
model citation program (Appendix VI-B);
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1.
hereby amended
follows:
Section 11-1 of the Seward City Code is
by adding a new subsection (b) to read as
(b) Appendices II-C, III-A, III-C, V-A and
VI-B of the Uniform Fire Code, 1985 edition,
published by the International Conference of
Building Officials and Western Fire Chiefs Asso-
ciation, are hereby adopted in their entirety and
made a part of this Code by reference.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10)
days following its enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 26th day of October 1987
