ORDINANCE NO. 610
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, ENACTING A REORGANIZED CODIFICATION
OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SEWARD
WHEREAS,
codified into

the ordinances of the city of Seward were
"The Code of the City of Seward, Alaska" by
378, enacted by the City Council in 1971; and
WHEREAS, since the enactment of Ordinance No. 378, new
ordinances as enacted by the city have been codified within
the organizational structure established by the 1971 ordi-
nance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a reorga-
nization of the existing Code, providing for new subj ect
divisions, a system for the numbering of sections and pages
with the flexibility for future expansion, and a new index,
would be beneficial;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. There is hereby adopted by the City Council
that certain Code entitled "The Code of the City of Seward,
Alaska" containing certain ordinances of a general and
permanent nature as compiled, consolidated, codified and
indexed in Titles 1 through 16, inclusive, of which Code not
less than three copies have been and are now filed in the
office of the City Clerk.
Section 2. The provisions of such Code, containing
enacted ordinances through Ordinance No. 608 not previously
repealed, with the only changes being those of new section
numbers, catchlines, reference and typographical correc-
tions, shall be in force on and after December 8, 1988.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10)
days following its enactment.
