CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 657
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SECTION 2.30.112 OF THE
CITY CODE RELATING TO MEETINGS AND QUORUM
OF THE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL BOARD
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Hospital Board was created by
the enactment of Ordinance No. 552 on December 23, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the size of the board was reduced from nine members
to seven members by the enactment of Ordinance 655 Substitute on
August 26, 1991; and
WHEREAS, a quorum of five members is no longer required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Section 2.30.112(B) is hereby amended to read:
B. Four members of the board shall consti-
tute a quorum for the transaction of business
except that, in the absence of a quorum, any
number less than a quorum may adj ourn the
meeting to a later date. The affirmative
votes of at least a majority of those board
members present shall be required for any
action.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days
after enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
this 28th day of October, 1991.
