CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 92-24
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SCC f 3.01.025
POLICE STANDARDS ACT
WHEREAS, due to the nature of personnel law and the frequent changes in this
area of law, the administration is attempting to keep the city code in confonnance with
state and federal laws for the increased protection of the employee as well as the city;
and
WHEREAS, one such revision recommended for adoption is the revision of Section
3.01.025, Police Standards Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. Section 3.01.025 Police Standards Act, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
3.01.025 Police Standards Act The Seward police department
shall be subject to these personnel regulations and, in addition, shall be
subject to the standards and regulations adopted by the Alaska Police
Standards Council pursuant to AS 18.65.130-.290. In the event of conflict,
the standards and regulations adopted by the Police Standards Council
shall prevail over these personnel regulations.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days following its enacbnent.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
14th day of December, 1992.
