AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL O~TH CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SEWARD CI CODE
~ 2.10.100, COMPENSATION OF COUNCIL BERS

WHEREAS, members of the City Council are requi~ to devote much personal
time to the preparation for and attendance of regular ara~pecial meetings of the City
Council; and /
WHEREAS, members of the City Council de4 additional time to the ceremonial
functions of elective office and to lobbying on b1aii~f the city; and
WHEREAS, currently, Councilmember are compensated for these services at the
rate of $200 per month and the Mayor is co pensated at the rate of $300 per month; and

WHEREAS, this rate of compen tion was last adjusted in 1986;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE ITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA HEREBY ORDAINS th :
Section 1. Seward City, ode ~ 2.10.100 is hereby amended to read as follows:

5, 199 , regular election of the city of Seward.
