CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-112
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE AMENDMENT NO.2, TO THE LAND
LEASE NO. 96-100, GLACIER COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (SEWARD
MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER)
WHEREAS, the City of Seward entered into a lease agreement with GLACIER
COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for the purpose of the development and operation of a radio
communications tower for an AM and FM broadcast station on the southernmost corner of Lot 1,
Block 6, Fourth of July Creek Subdivision, Seward Marine Industrial Center; and
WHEREAS, GLACIER COMMUNICATIONS, INe. has requested an amendment to
expand the land lease for construction of a tower; and
WHEREAS, it is the Council's desire to lease the minimum square footage needed to meet
setback easements and zoning compliance; and
WHEREAS, the proposed expansion would also include a replat by Glacier Communica-
tions Inc. to identify the expanded lease parcel; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed this application and has
approved this request at their meeting of September 2, 1998 to expand the existing lease with Glacier
Communications, Inc. radio tower within Block 6, Fourth of July Creek Subdivision, Seward Marine
Industrial Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and instructed to execute Lease
Amendment No.2 on behalf of the City on the date it becomes effective.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days after passage and posting as
required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 28th
day of September, 1998.
