AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SEWARD CITY CO E
SECTION 8.30.020 TO EXEMPT THE RENTAL OF 0
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE FROM THE REQUIRE
FOR A BUSINESS LICENSE
WHEREAS, the City Council established a city busine license in order to assure
that businesses operating within the City of Seward were llecting and remitting sales
taxes and had obtained any necessary state and city lice es and permits; and
WHEREAS, SCC Chapter 8.30 currently re res that all rental properties be
treated as businesses; and
WHEREAS, practically speaking, the onl single-family rental units coming to the
attention of the city and, therefore, requir to comply with the business license
ordinance are those owned by individuals w 0 are already complying with the Sales Tax
Code; and

NOW, THEREFORE, E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA HEREBY ORDAI S that:
Section 1. Sectio 8.30.020 A. is here by amended to read as follows:
