THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASFA
ORDINANCE NO. 381
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-19 OF THE SEWARD
CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHARGES.
NOn, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SEWARD ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Seward City Code, Section 12-19,
Class 1, is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as
follows:
Class 1. Businesses, including dentists, ~hysicians
and clinics:

Offices(waste paper only) - $2.00 per month, weekly
collection.
SECTION 2. That the Seward City Code, Section 12-19,
Class 2, is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as
follows:
Class 2. Weekly Collection
Residences - $1.90 per month.
Resident pack-out service -$4.90 per month(can
must be easily accessible and within a reasonable dis-
tance from the alley, street, or utility easement at
the discretion of the garbage contractor.
Apartments(more than two units having common
cans) - $~.59 per month for each unit on individual
billing; $3.25 ~er month for each unit for single
(landlord) billing and central pickup. Pack-out
service $1.00 additional per unit. Pack-out service
provided at the discretion of the garbage contractor.
SECTION 3. That the Seward City Code, Section 12-19,
Class 5, is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as
follows:
Class 5. Municipal and Military or Contractor
The Ymnicipal service rate shall be $ .20 per
can.
Use of the dump by military organizations shall
be charged at the rate of $51).00 per month per organ-
ization.
Use of the dump by construction contractors or
firms doing re~air, rehabilitation, alteration, or
construction work shall be charged at the rate of
$51).00 per month per contractor.
SectionA. That the Seward City Code, Section 12-19,
Class ~ is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as
follows:
Class 6~ Time and E~uipment Rate
Services provided which are not covered elsewhere
for garbage, rubbish or waste removal shall be charged
at the 'basic rate of $22.00 per hour. This charge shall
include the use of a truck and a driver. The
minimum charge that can be made under the Time
and Equipment Rate is for one/half hour.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10)
days after ~assage and ap?roval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City
of Seward, Alaska, this 13th day 0 September , 1971.
