AN ORDllJANCE AJVIENDllJG SECTION 9-3 OF THE SEWARD CODE OF ORDllJANCES
SCHEDUIE OF RATES.
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAllJS;
Section i.That Section' 9 - 3, of the Seward, Code of Ordinances, Schedule
of Rates, be deleted and mserted to read as follows:
Sec. 9 - 3. Schedule of Rates.

Schedule "A" DoIlEstic
$6.00 for first 30 KWH or less per month
9~ per KWH for next 70 KWH
4~ per KWH for next 200 KWH
3~ per KWH for all over 300 KWH
Where any service in this schedule is being provided to a conmerclally
operated apartment house, which is hereby defined as an operation of not
less than four apartIlEnts contained within the same structure, and the te-
nant discontinues service, but the owner of the premises desires a con-
tinuance of service in order that. any such apartIlEnt may be demonstrated
to prospective tenants, the service shall be extended to such owner at the
rate of two dollars per roonth where no energy is acutally consumed; provided,
that where any energy is consumed, it shall be charged for on the ,basis
and at the rates shown in the schedule.
Definition. One family dwelling used as a residence only. )Dpgle
phase service for lighting, cooking and single phase motors'incidental
to domestic appliances. Demand load not to exceed five horespower..
Schedule "M" DoIlEstic All Electric.
$12.00 for first 100 KWH or less per month
3~ per KWH for allover 100 KWH
Where any service in this schedule is being provided to a COImJercially
operated apartIlEnt house, which is hereby defined as an operation of', not ,
less than four apartIlEnts contained within the same structure, and the
tenant discontinues service, but the owner of the premises desires a con-
tinuance of service in order that any such apartment may be dem.:>nstrated to
prospective tenants, the service shall be extended to such owner at the
rate of two dollars per month where no energy is actually consumed; provided,
that where any energy is consumed, it shall be charged for on the basis ,
and at the rates shown in the schedule.
Definition. For residences using electricity for all cooking and hot
water heater and having three wires service and approved thirty gallon or
larger automatic water heater.
Schedule "B" Commercial
$12.00 for first 40 KWH or less per roonth
8~ per KWH for next 360 KWH
5~ per KWH for next 500 KWH
3~ per KWH for all over 900 KWH
Definition. Lighting, cooking appliances and rootors in professional,
mercantile, industrial and other establishments not classed in Schedule
"A" or "M."

The total aroount billed shall be computed at the rates set lorth in
the above schedules.
Section 2. This Ordinance takes effect :iriinediately upOn passage and
