AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 3-15
OF THE SEWARD CODE OF ORDINANCES
ALLOWING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES ON ELECTION DAYS.
WHEREAS, Chapter No. 117 of the Laws of Alaska 1972 amended
A.S. 04.15.020(g) to provide that the governing body of a political
subdivision may provide by ordinance that the provisions of A.S.
04.15.020(c) do not apply in the political subdivision when
elections are being held, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City of Seward to so provide,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Seward, Alaska, ordains:
Section 1. That Section 3-15 of the Seward City Code
is hereby created to read as follows:
Section 3-15. Sale on Election Days.
The provisions of A.S. 04.l5.020(c)
do not apply within the City when
elections are being held.
Section 2. That this Ordinance takes effect immediately
upon passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward,
Alaska, this 27th day of Ijiiiiix 1972.
