AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE
STATE OF ALASKA OF FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($56,500.00) AND PROVIDING
FOR THE APPLICATION OF SAID FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has awarded the City of
Seward Fifty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($56,500.00) in
emergency financial assistance to partially compensate the City
of Seward for the additional cost of providing municipal
services brought about by the impact of the Alaska Pipeline,
and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to enact an
ordinance accepting the grant and providing for its use.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. The City of Seward, Alaska, gratefully
accepts from the State of Alaska the sum of Fifty-Six Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($56,500.00) awarded on June 14, 1975 pur-
suant to the City's request for emergency financial assistance.
Section 2. The $56,500.00 is intended to meet the
following service costs and shall be applied in the following
manner:
Engineering Services
$12,000
Police Protection
Patrolman
Police Car
12,000
6,500
Public Works
12,000
Fire Protection
14,000
TOTAL
$56,500
Section 3. Upon receipt of any portion of, or all of,
the grant, the money shall be placed in the general fund and
shall be allocated as set forth in Section 2. Separate records
shall be kept showing the proper disbursement of the funds.
Section 4. This ordinance takes effect immediately
upon passage and approval.

OF SEWARD, ALASKA, THIS 8th DAY OF September , 1975.
