THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 424
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 5-80.2 OF THE SEWARD
CODE AND ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE USE OF THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR GRID.
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That Section 5-80.2, Grid Fees, is hereby
repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 5-80.2. Grid Use and Fees.
(a) The following charges are established for approved use
of the grid as determined by the harbor master:
(1) Vessels under thirty-three feet (33')
first and second twenty-four (24) hour period
or a fraction thereof:
$ 5.00
Each additional twenty-four (24) hour period
or a fraction thereof:
$10.00
(2) Vessels over thirty-three feet (33')
to fifty feet (50') first and second twenty-four
(24) hour period or a fraction thereof:
Each additional twenty-four (24) hour period
or a fraction thereof:
$10.00
$20.00
(3) Vessels over fifty feet (50') first
and second twenty-four (24) hour period or a
fraction thereof:
$15.00
Each additional twenty-four (24) hour period
or a fraction thereof:
$30.00
From November 1 through March 31, inclusive,
the grid charges shall be two-thirds (2/3) of
the amounts set forth above, provided proper
advance permission has been obtained and advance
payment made.
(b) Application for use of the grid and payment in full of
the charges shall be made prior to placing a vessel on the grid. The
harbor master may refuse permission for the use of the grid, if, in his
opinion, the grid is unsuitable for or may be damaged by the vessel
or the use to which the grid may be put. The harbor master may direct
the removal of a vessel from the grid at any time.
(c) It is unlawful and a violation of this Ordinance for
a person to place a vessel on the grid without advance permission
of the harbor master.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance takes effect immediately upon
passage and approval.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska, this 13th day of September ,1976.
