ORDINANCE NO. 426
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 2-68
OF THE SEWARD CITY CODE RELATING TO MEETINGS AND AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 2-68 of the Seward City Code is hereby
repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 2-68. Meetings and Quorum.
The Planning Commission shall meet at 7:30 p.m., in the
Seward City Council Chambers, on the second Wednesday of each month.
Special meetings may be held at the call of the chairman, and at such
other times as the Commission may determine. Five members of the
Commission shall be a quorum for the transaction of business, except
that, in the absence of a quorum, any number less than a quorum may
adjourn the meeting to a later date. The affirmative votes of at
least five members of the Commission shall be required for official
action, unless a larger majority is required by law. All meetings
and records of the Commission shall be open to the public. The
Commission shall keep minutes of the proceedings, showing the vote
of each member upon each question, and shall keep records of any
other of its official actions, all of which shall be immediately filed
in the office of the City Clerk-Treasurer and shall be a public record.
Section 2. This ordinance takes effect immediately upon
passage and approval.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska this 22nd day of November , 1976.
