CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 434
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PURCHASE USED EQUIPMENT WITHOUT USE OF BID PROCEDURE
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 10-8 of the Seward Code of Ordinances
is hereby amended by the addition of a new subsection (f) which
shall read as follows:
(f) Restrictions and prov1s1ons of this section shall
not apply where the City Council determines that
the public interest would be best served by the
purchase of used equipment and by resolution
authorizes the City Manager to locate and pur-
chase a particular type and quantity of used
equipment. The term "used equipment", as ex-
pressed in the preceding sentence, shall mean
machinery and vehicles which have been in the
active service of the proposed seller for a
period of not less than twelve months preceding
its purchase by the City of Seward.
Section 2. This ordinance takes effect ten days after its
passage and approval.
