CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-125
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE AMENDMENT OF LAND LEASE NO. RE-
97-101, PATRICKM. MARRS, KNOWN AS LOT 1, BLOCK 4, FOURTH OF
JULY CREEK SUBDIVISION, SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER,
TO INCREASE THE LEASED LAND BY 3,000 SQUARE FEET
WHEREAS, Lot 1, Block 4, Fourth of July Creek Subdivision has been under lease since
May 28, 1997, as approved in Resolution 97-053; and
WHEREAS, Patrick M. Marrs has requested that the city amend his lease in order to enlarge
the lease site; and
WHEREAS, increasing the size of the lease site will enable Patrick M. Marrs to build a
4,320 square foot (72' x 60') metal building on the lease land and meet the set back requirements for
this building; and
WHEREAS, the time for construction of the warehouse building with interior marine
electronics shop shall be extended to June 30, 1999; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and instructed to execute the Lease
Amendment No.2, attached and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days after passage and posting as
required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 26th
of October, 1998.
