HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd1968-363 ~ THE CITY OF SEWARD ORDINANCE NO. 363 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TIME AND PLACE OF MEETINGS FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA ORDAINS: SECTION 1 - MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL: The regular meetings of the City Council of The City of Seward, Alaska, shall be conducted on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. SECTION 2 - SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Special meetings may be called by the City Clerk on written request of the Mayor, City Manager or of any two (2) members of the City Council, upon request being received, the City Clerk shall give due and proper notice to the Mayor, city Manager and to each City Council Member. SECTION 3 - MEETING TIME DESIGNATED: Regular meetings of the City Council shall be called to order at the hour of 7:30 P.M. by the presiding Officer. Special meeting notices shall state time that meetings shall be called to order. SECTION 4 - MEETING PLACE DESIGNATED: The Council Chambers in the Seward Municipal Building located at the corner of Adams and Fifth Avenue shall be the official meeting place of the City Council. Publication of this Ordinance shall be made by posting a copy hereof for a period of ten (10) days on the City Hall Bulletin Board, and by publish- ing a notice of the place of posting and a brief statement of the purpose of this Ordinance in a newspaper of general circulation in the city, within a reasonable time. This Ordinance shall be effective ten (10) days following the date of posting.
