CITY OF SEWARD. ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 315
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THE PROCEDURE WHEREBY THE CITY MAY PURCHASE.
SELL. LEASE. OR DISPOSE OF REAL PROPERTY.
THE CITY OF SEWARD. ALASKA. ORDAINS:
1. No real property shall be purchased, sold. leased, or
disposed of except by resolution adopted by the Council !S-!
regular meeting, and no such resolution shall be adopted by the
Council until a public hearing shall have been held by the Council
not less than ten days prior to the date of its adoption.
2. Notice of such public hearing shall be given by the City
Clerk by posting a copy of the proposed instrument or instruments,
together with the time and place when and where such hearing shall
be held. for a period of not less than ten (10) days immediately
preceding such hearing. which posting shall be on the City Hall
bulletin board and also at the Seward Post Office Bulletin Board.
3. Prior to the adoption of such resolution, the City
Attorney shall endorse upon the instrument or instruments of
purchase, sale. lease or disposition to which such resolution
has reference his approval of such instrument or instruments. as
to form.
4. Upon the adoption of a resolution in accordance with
this ordinance, the City Clerk shall cause a true, correct and
complete copy of such resolution, certified by her, to be posted
for at least thirty (30) days at the City Hall Bulletin Board
and the Bulletin Board at the Seward Post Office.
5. A notice of the places of posting. a brief statement of
the purpose of the resolution, and the effective date, shall be
published in one or more of the newspapers of the City !!
promptly as may be after the date of adoption.
6. Publication of this ordinance shall be by posting a copy
hereof on the City Hall Bulletin Board for a period of ten (10)
days following its passage and approval.

Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Seward,
Alaska this 2nd day of July. 1962.
