CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 316
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.100 OF THE SEWARD GENERAL CODE OF
ORDINANCES, BY ADDING SUB-SECTION (z) RELATING TO FIREWORKS.
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ORDAINS:
That Section 5.100 (Unlawful and Illegal Acts) of the Seward
General Code of Ordinances be amended so that the following sub-
section is hereby added thereto, to-wit:
(z) barter, sell, exchange, or give away, or set off, fire
or explode, or cause to be set off, fired, or exploded, any
firecracker, sky rocket, pin wheel, fusee, Roman candle,
bomb, or any pyrotechnical contrivance or apparatus of any
description within the corporate limits of the City of
Seward, without prior approval of the City Council.
Publication of this ordinance shall be by posting a copy
hereof on the City Hall bulletin board for a period of ten (10) days
following its passage and approval.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist and the rules govern-
ing the passage of ordinances are hereby suspended and this ordinance
is given full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
a.pproval.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Seward,
Alaska, this 2nd day of July, 1962.
