CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A
PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 TO RESURRECTION
RENTALS FOR PORT-A-POTTY RENTALS
WHEREAS, every year, portable toilets are needed in the city parks, campgrounds and
play-fields to accommodate the public; and
WHEREAS, an exemption from the competitive procurement procedures is allowed
since Resurrection Rentals is the only local provider for this service; and
WHEREAS, a short-season purchase order totaling $5,000.00 was issued to Resurrection
Rentals for the early part ofthe season; and
WHEREAS, invoices totaling $4,935.00 have been received and paid on that P.O. ; and
WHEREAS, an additional $16,389 has been incurred through September 30; and
WHEREAS, a total budget for this fiscal year is $25,000.00, and
WHEREAS, and Council action is required to authorize any amount exceeding $10,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve a purchase order for the
sum of $20,000.00 to Resurrection Rentals.
Section 2.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska this 26th
day of October, 1998.
