BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Seward, Terri- tory of Alaska: Section 1. That in the judgment of the City Council of the City of Seward, those lots in the Narathon Addition, as shown by the map and plat thereof filed the IL day of #Uf1'I./..sT , 1952, are no longer required for , municipal purposes, excepting for Lots 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, which are pres- en tly intended for hospital use; excepting for Lot 19, which has been reserved for a nurses' home; and excepting for Lot 20, which in the present judgment of the City Council will be required for a right-of -way for a water line. Section 2. That the value of the other lots in said addition is found by the Council to be less than $5,000.00. Section 3. That the City Council deems it advantageous to the City that the remaining lots be sold at a nUblic auction for residential purposes. Section 4. That a DUblie auction be held at the City riall, Seward, Alaska, at I~'to'clock in the---- noon on the ~ day of October, 1952, said auction to continue until !/ r~J I 0 I clock in the afternoon and daily thereafter; Sundays &Id holidays excepted, as may be necessary; that at said public auction all lots in the Marathon Addition to the City of 3eward be oEered to the highest bidder for cash; that $500.00 per lot be fixed as an upset price, and that no lot be sold for less than such sum; that the deeds of conveyance restrict the use of such lots to residential purposes and re- strict the type of residence to be erected thereon to structures costing at least dG,OOO.0U; and that no individual be permitted to bid in lots at said auction for an aggregate price of more than iil5,Ouu.OO, and ,,-11 :.;tructures bH r-,uilt i'l 0 ""Jrc1fince ,,,-lith the r,ui~dinq codf! and l\mefl<ill~r-~P!-.JG r I That a copy of this ordinance be 00sted for a oeriod of ten days following its final passage on the City Hall Bulletin Board.
