This ordinance includes all property shown on the official pl~t 6 of the l~rathon Addition to the City of Seward, Alaska, recorded in the United states Commissioner's office at Seward, Alaska on AUgust 14, 1952 in ~ook 16 7 Deeds, Page 165. 8 Section 2, Lots 1 through 6 are Park Reserve. Lots 7 through 13 are for residences as defined in Section 4 of this Ordinance. Lots 14 through 18 are 9 teffiROrarily reserved for a hospital. Lot 19 is occupied by the Nurses Home. Loti 20 is reserved for pipelines and for municipal use. Lots 21 through 32 are 10 fOr residences as defined in Section 4 of this Ordinanae. 11 Section 3. Lots will not be su:clivided into smaller fractions, but will be kept to the same dime.sions as shown on the Plat of }~rathon Addition that is 12 recorded in the United StCltes Commissioner's office of Se;vard, Alilskaq 13 Section 4. One family residences with one residence only on a lot will be permitted. Residences will meet with current F. H. A. re(juirements for one family 14 dwellings of not less than 700 square feet area on the n~in floor. The City of Seward building code will govern all structural, electrical, plumbing and heating 15 construction and installation. 16 Section 5. A building permit issued by authority of the Common Council of Seward must be obtained h~fore any construction work is started. 17 Section 6. No house trailers, portable buildings, businesses, profit or 18 non-profit, clubs, churohes, lodges or institutions of any kind whatsoever will be penni tteri. Excepting the Nurses Home and proposed Bospit[,l. 19 Section 7. Temporary sheds or buildings as commonly used by contractors 20 during construction must be removed on completion of dwelling. 21 Section 8. Violation of any part of this Ordinance will be punishable by a fine of, $100.00 and/~Il-- 30 days in jail for each separate violCltion. 22 Section 9. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this 23 Ordinance is, for any reason, held to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The Council 24 hereby declares that it would have IJdSsed this Ordinance, and each section, sub- section, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that anyone or more 25 sections, subsections, sentences, clauses and phrases may b~ declared unconstitutional. 26 Section 10. The City Building Code referred to in this Ordinance is the Uniform Building Code 1949 Edition dB adopted l,y the Pacific Coast 3uilding Officials 27 Conference, and is hereby declared to be part of this Ordinance. 28 Section 11. This Ordinance shall be published one time, in the Seward ~eaport R", cord, a newspaper publ iahed in e,e\le.r<i, Ale ska. 29 30 An emergency is harel,y declared to exist and this Orctinance sh",J 1 be in full force and effect irrmediately after its passage and approval. w..
