AN ORDINANCE TO EST.IillLISH TI:!E DATE OF EVALUATION OF ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO
THE TAXiS FOR SCHOOL AND MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, AND PROVIDING FOR FIXING OF
RATE OF LF:VY AND OTHJ::R MATTERS BY R t:OOLUTION.
SECTION 1. Be it ordained that all property subject to taxation, both real
and personal, subject for school and municipal purposes within the City of
Seward, Alaska shall be assessed and its full and true value in money as of
January 1 of the assessment year of each and every year following hereafter.
SECTION 2. Be it further provided that the rate of levy, date of equalization,
and the date when taxes shall become delinquent, shall be hereafter fixed by
Resolution.
All provisions and any ordinances heretofore passed in conflict with
these provisions are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. Any
provisions or any ordinances in conflict with these provisions shall be
amended to conform with Chapter 174 of the Session Laws of Alaska, 1957.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and in the public interest the
rules governing the passage of ordinances are hereby suspended and this ordi-
nance shall be given effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
