BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Counoi1 of the Town of Seward: SECTION 1. That Seotion 33 of Ordinance 5 of the Town of Seward, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 33. It shall be unlawful for any person, or oompany, to manufaoture or keep within the limits of the Town of Seward, any gunpowder, giant powder, gunootton, gasoline, benzine, dis- tillate, or any other explosive substance, without having obtained from the Common Counoil permission so to do; providing that suoh permit shall not authorize the keeping of more than fifty pounds or twenty gallons of any said fluid in anyone plaoe withih the Town of Seward, which shall be kept in an airtight metal vessel, marked with the name of the substanoe in plain Roman letters not leas than three inohes in height and of proportionate width, whioh vessel shall at all times be kept in a conspicuous place and oonvenient for removal from the premises where kept; and provided further that all gunpowder, giant powder, or other explosives herein provided for, kept in quantities, or in any quantity greater than fifty pounds, or twenty gallons, as the oase may be, in anyone plaoe, within the town limits, shall be kept in a substantial stone, briok or frame structure, and (exoept in the case of any of 8aid fluids) shall have printed thereon in a conspiCUOUS plaoe, so that the same may be readily seen from any point of approach, the following words, .Powder, Dangerous,. the same to be in plain Roman letters, not lea. than six inches high and of proportionate width. Any person, oompany, or oorporation, violating any provi8ions of this seotion shall, upon oonviotion thereof, be punished by a fine not exoeeding one hundred dollars, or by im- prisonment in the to\ll1n jail notxoeeding ninety days, or both. Provided, that the town marshal may, and it shall be his duty, to go into or on the premises of any person, oompany, or oorporation, who he has good reason to believe are keeping or storing explosives oontrary to the provisions of this seotion, and to arrest all persons violating any provisions hereof.
