SECTIor-r 1. The :,funiciral :,iagistr'ate shttll bold COUlrt on
all days of the ye~r, excert Sundays and leGal holidays, when
fuere is any business to be trans~cted by the Magistrate or te-
jore the COUllt.
SECTION 2. The Court shall have juriadicti~n of all causee
a.rie1ng under the ordinances of this Town.
SECTION 3. The atyle and title of the Court shall be "The
Municipal Court of the To'rm of Seward, Alaska," and all write
and procesaes of Hle Court shall run in the nanie of the Town of
Se~ard, Alaska, and be directed to the Chief of Police, or any
rolice officer of the Town, and shall be signed by the Munioipal
Magistrate and sealed with the seal of his offioe.
SECTION 4. The Chief of Police shall be the executive
officer of the iJunicipal Court, and he, or any [01ioe officer of
the Town, ~hhll serve and execute, when required, all writ. and
processes issued by the Court.
SECTION 5. The trial of all causee in the Municipal Coul't
shall be by the Court, sitting without a jury, and in all other
respects the mode of precedure shall be the earr;e as in the
con~lssioner and ex-officio justice of the peace courts, for the
Territory of AlaSKa.
SF'CTTm~ 6. In each oase the ;,,:agistl'ate shall 8ssess as costs,
auch fees ae are allowed oorrmissioners as ex-officio ;ustices
of the reace and lJni ted States deputy filarshalls as ex:officio
constables, in Division Nc. Thfee of the Territory of Alaska.
SECTION 7. All ordinances and parts of ordinances incinsistant
herewith, and particularly each and every part of the Ordinance
of the Town of f:'eward, lTurnber Three, entitled "An Ordinance
Fstablishing a 1Kunicipal Court for the Town of fel'l!::l.rd, Alctska,
Outlining Its Procedt:;re, and for Other Pl"rrcses," passed and
arrroved the third day of July, 1~l2, are hereby repealed.
This O~dinance shall take effect and be in full force an~
effect fro~ and after the date of its passage and arrrov~l.
