EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMLWN COUNCIL 0]' THE T07VN OF SEWARD. ALASKA.
be paid the ~lunicipal Officers of the Town of Seward, Alaska. is hereby
fixed and established by the terms and conditions hereinafter cont~ined
in this Ordinance, which compensation shall be neither increased not
diminished during said term, nor shall said Officers be entitled to re-
ceive. in any form or shape, ~1 any other or additional compensation from

Sec. 2. The Municipal Clerk shall receive a monthly salary at the

Sec. 3. The Municipal Magistrate shall receive an annual salary at

the rate of $100.00 paid in monthly installments.
Seo. 5. The Hunicipal Health Officer shall receive a monthly salary
at the rate of $50.00.
Sec. 6. The Municipal Treasurer shall receive a monthly sulary at
the rate of $50.00.
Se6. 7. The Chief of the Fire Depart1nent shall receive a monthly
salary at the rate of ~',200.00 and in connection wi th the duties of Chief
of the Fire Department such officer shall act as a special Police Officer
of the Town of Seward with the authority, riRhts and duties of such office.
Sec. 8. Each of the salaries herein provided for shall b\~ut of

the general fund of the Town of Seward and shall be paid ,nonthly. The
Common Council shall at its first meeting in each month approve and order
paid the salaries of all of the above named officers for the preoeding
month and the proper warrant shall be drawn on the Treasurer for the

payment of each officer.
Sec. -9. An F.mergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance shall take effect i~nediately upon its passage and approval.
Passed and a~roved by the Common Council of the Town of Seward,
