An Ordinance Fixing and .l!i8tabl1ehing the Rate of Compensa-
tion to be Paid by the Town of Seward, Alaska to various Eleotive
Ottioers tor the year Beginning April 7th, 1924.
Be It Ordained by the Common Council of the Town of Seward,
Alaska:
SECTION 1. That for the ,ear beginning April 7th, 1924. the
oompensation to be paid to the Elective Municipal Officers of the
~eWD of Seward, Alaska, is hereby fixed and established, ~~BU8nt to
the proYisions of Section 26 of Chapter 97 of the Session Laws of
the Territorial Legislature of the Territory of Alaska of 1923, by
the terms and conditions hereinafter contained in this Ordinance,
which compensation shall be neither increased or diminished during
said term, nor shall sai~ Officers be entitled to receive, in any
torm or shape, any other or additional compensation from said Town.
SECTION 2. The Municipal Clerk shall receive a monthly
salary at the rate of '72.50.
SECTION 3. The Municipal Attorney shall reoeive an annual
salary of tlOO.OO to be paid in monthly instalments.
SECTION 4. The Municipal Treasurer shall receive a monthly
salary at the rate of '50.00.
SECTION 5. Each of the salaries herein provided for .hall
be out of the General 1i'und of said Town of Seward and shall be paid
monthly. The Common Council shall, at its first meeting in each
month approve and order paid the salaries of all the aboye named
officers for the preceding month and the proper warrant shall be
drawn on the Trea.urer for the ~yment of eaoh officer.
Passed and Approved by the Common ~ouncil of the Town of
aeward, Alaska, this 17th day of March, 1924.
