HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd1926-090 r~ o / -A/I ORDINANCE NO. fa AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE OF COMPENSATION TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, TO OFFICERS APPOINTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF SAID CITY FOR THE TERM ENDING APRIL lath, 1927, OR UNTIL THEIR SUCCESSORS ARE APPOINTED AND QUALIFIED, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CO~~ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA: Sec. 1. That the compensation to be paid the Municipal officers of the City of Seward, Alaska,for the term ending April lath, 1927, or until the successors of such officers are appOinted and qualified, is hereby fixed and established by the terms herein- after contained in this Ordinance, which compensation shall be neither increased nor diminished during the continuance in office of such officers nor shall said officers be entitled to receive in any form or shape any other or additional compensation from said City, Sec.2 The Municipal Clerk shall receive a monthly salary at the rate of $150.00 per month. Sec. 3. The Munioipal Magistrate shall receive a monthly salary at the rate of $25.00 per month. Seo. 4. The Munioipal Assessor shall receive a monthly salary at the rate of $25.00 per month. Seo. 5. The Municipal Attorney shall receive a monthly salary at the rate of $ 50.00 per month. Sec. 6. The Munioipal Health Officer shall receive a monthly salary at the rate of $ 50.00 per month, Seo. 7. The Municipal Treasurer shall receive a yearly salary at the rate of $1.00 per annum. ' ~'o Sec. 8. The Chief of the Fire Department shall rece1ve a lr1\O monthly salary at the rate of $ 75.00 per month. IP 9'.: )Ynl Sec. 9. Sec. 10, Each of the salaries herein provided for shall be paid out of the General Fund of the City of Seward and shall be paid monthly. ac....~ The 6ommon Council shall at its first meeting in eaoh month approve and oruer paid the salaries of all of the above named off1cers for the preceeding month anu proper warrant shall be drawn on,the Treasurer for the payment of the same. Sec. 11. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Sec. 12. An Emergency is hereby declared to ex1st and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
