AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION BAND SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 90
OF THE CITY OF SEWARDI ALA SKA I THE SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE OF COMPENSATION TO BE PAID BY THE
CITY OF SEWARDI ALASKA I TO OFFICERS APPOINTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF SAID CITY FOR THE TERM ENDING APRIL 10thl 19271 OR UNTIL THEIR
SUCCESSORS ARE APPOINTED AND QUALIFIEDI AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITHI AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." AND DECLARING
Ali EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COID~ON COIDJCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA:
Section 1. That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 90 of the City of
Sewardl Alaska, be amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 8. The Chief of the Fire Department shall receive
a monthly salary at the rate of $ /L?ti ~~er month."

Seotion 2. That Section 9 of Ordinanoe No. 90 pf the City
of Sewardl Alaskal be amended to read as follows:
" Sec. 9. The Chief of Police shall receive a monthly

salary at the rate of $ Jpv ',)V" per month."

Section 3. An Emergency is hereby deolared to exist and this
Ordinanoe shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
Introduced and read t~e 17th day of May, 1926, Rules
suspended and passed by the Common Council of the City of Seward,
Alaskal this 17th day of MaYI 1926.
